Anyone who’s tried this knows it’s no easy feat. But either through divine cosmic intervention, or a really good algorithm on Bumble BFF, Lindsay and Amanda eventually managed to find each other. Many hiking adventures and wine nights watching Bridgerton later, these two fast friends made the fateful decision to go into business together.
While traveling across British Columbia during the summer of 2024, Lindsay was struck with the idea of starting a hiking/camping touring company and contacted Amanda immediately. Together they dove into research and planning and after observing obvious needs within the female hiking community they had both been a part of for so long, Lindsay and Amanda knew their creation could provide a service to thousands of hikers pursuing their own love of the outdoors. Thus, “Busy Beavers Touring Company” was born.
Here at Busy Beavers our goal is to connect women, nature and community, one adventure at a time. Wanna know the best part? We’re all inclusive! “What does that mean?” you might be asking. It means we provide the transportation to and from our destination in Kananaskis Country. We also provide all the necessary gear besides the clothes on your back, the shoes on your feet, and the water bottle you drink out of. All your meals and snacks are taken care of, and all our hikes are led by certified guides to make sure you can enjoy your trip safely. Our group sizes are 4-8 people so you’re never alone. Whether you decided to book with a friend or be a fearless solo traveller, you’ll always have someone next to you every step of the way.
But wait! Are these epic adventures only for women?
While we do cater primarily to women, we do offer a handful of co-ed trips every month. So if you’re wanting a date night under the stars or heck, maybe you just want to meet new people, our services are inclusive to everyone. Just be sure to check the calendar regularly for updates.
